Why Ohio Cryptid?

There are plenty of websites and forums dedicated to the cryptid world, even in Ohio. I have been a paranormal researcher and investigator for over 13 years and during this time I have ventured into other areas of investigation and research. I had been attempting to work with a cryptid group in Ohio for a number of years, but seemed to meet a cold shoulder at many turns despite my knowledge and experience in various areas related to this field. While I am busy with personal things as well as operating a paranormal investigation group I want to be a solidified part of the cryptid investigation field in Ohio.

I have searched high and low for a place in Ohio to join to help others, but have found it a difficult search so I have created a blog, this website and a social network dedicated to this field in the buckeye state.

What are your goals?

My goal is simple. Bring researchers, investigators, witnesses and others with various interests and knowledge of this an related fields together to form a network of sightings and investigators to help make the knowledge and information easier to find. In essence, instead of 10 or more great organizations in Ohio who keep their information from others I want to provide a place where information can be shared and researched so that answers to various questions (where are sightings happening) can be easily networked and catalogued.

My goal above is based upon those who join and share knowledge and information about the subject that is happening in Ohio. The success or failure of this venture depends on the contributors. I have also established a blog at Blogspot.com that I will allow others to contribute to. This should help keep things fresh and give some diversity to how the information is being shared, yet I will do my best to keep this information bound together so that everyone is aware of what is happening. In the future I would like to get some meetings, possibly chat at first and eventually face-to-face meetings and potentially conferences to help share knowledge and further information in person. To help aid with the networking aspect I have created a social network which will serve as the main source of daily/weekly/monthly communication between the contributors. Eventually, when reports are confirmed we will debut a database of sightings which we will share with fellow groups as well as the general public.
